Thankful for, part one...

At the risk of being a little too Pollyanna, I am thankful for the following:

1. My beautiful family


2. My beautiful friends


3. My experience in China, which has been nothing short of amazing.


4. Food to eat


5. A roof over my head


6. My bed, however hard it is


7. My education


8. My enormous closet here in Shanghai


9. My new peng you men (friends) I've met on this journey


10. Going to Hong Kong in four days


11. Baozi, noodles, dumplings, rice, tofu, chicken, yum yum yum!


12. Cheap, awful salads at Saizeriya, the fake Italian place down the street


13. H&M


14. Being able to go home in less than a month


15. Being able to go to New York less than a month after that! (It's been far too long. Eight months is truly too long to be separated from your first true love.)


16. The endless supply of cheap DVDs down the street


17. My book lady, who recently sold me Jack Kerouac for 10 kuai
