Pollution!
When I first got to Shanghai, the pollution wasn't too terrible. I blame the Expo. We had clear skies, sun, and it was rarely horribly smoggy. However, it's been a whole different story since then. It's rarely sunny. Sometimes it's difficult to see buildings more than 200 yards away. Breathing in plein air is labored.
Ah well. At least I got to see the city at its most beautiful once.
