This little girl was selling hats outside of the South Bund Fabric Market. When I came up to her she was sitting as you see her, barefoot ad hugging her pile of fedoras. When I motioned to ask if I could take a picture, she quickly sprung up and waved and smiled at the camera. I think I prefer her like this, though, quiet and reflective. After I stopped taking pictures she stood upright with the most impeccable posture. She was really remarkable, with her pixie cut and gangly legs. Such a cute kid.
