Hi all,
Sorry I've been a bit MIA the past few days. I went out of town to Nanjing on a trip with my school. To be honest, Nanjing isn't really my style. But I did have a good time. I'll be writing about the Nanjing Massacre Museum later, which was a crazy intense experience. We also visited the presidential palace and the mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. I've spent more time on a bus in China than my whole life combined, I think.
In any case, I'm really glad to be back in Shanghai. I never expected a city so sprawling and huge to feel so much like home. But then again, I thought that about New York, back when New York seemed big. It seems such a long time ago and yet it was only two years.
Today I tutored migrant children at a school here in Shanghai! It was amazing. I'll also write a full post on that later. I'm still blogging for Ctrip and I'm getting involved with the Shanghai Repertory Theatre, a new English-language theater group here. I'm really excited about some of the upcoming productions!
Alrighty I'll write more later
xo
