Happy December

One of the things I'm looking forward to doing at home is watching all my favorite Christmas movies. I have a lot of them. A lot of my favorite movies, period, are Christmas movies. Here are my top eleven. (That seems like a lot, but I've really seen a lot of Christmas films in my life. And I even left off a few I really like. Such as Snowden. Great film.)

  1. It's A Wonderful Life

  2. White Christmas

  3. A Christmas Story

  4. Elf

  5. Miracle on 34th Street (the Natalie Woods version, though the other one is good too)

  6. Love, Actually (though I've never seen it at Christmastime)

  7. A Charlie Brown Christmas

  8. The Muppet Christmas Carol

  9. Meet Me In St. Louis (not strictly speaking a Christmas movie, but that one scene is so good and always makes me cry)

  10. Ruldolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer

  11. Home Alone (This counts the combined goodness of both Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. Macaulay Culkin fighting off robbers is priceless.)
